Our Commitment

BOGO Discount Calculator is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We strive to continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to make our calculators and content usable by the widest possible audience.

Conformance Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features across the Site:

• Semantic HTML: Proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (buttons, dropdowns, links) are fully operable via keyboard with visible focus indicators.
• Skip link: A "Skip to content" link is the first focusable element on every page and moves focus straight to the main content region. This is a single-calculator site, so there is little to skip past — the link is there so keyboard behavior stays consistent across our calculators.
• Color contrast: Text and interactive elements are styled to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio targets (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
• Screen reader support: The formula is displayed as plain text — not as an image — and is paired with a screen reader-only plain-English description of the same equation. Calculator results are announced through an aria-live region as they update.
• Responsive design: The Site is usable across screen sizes from mobile devices to large desktop monitors.
• Dark mode: A dark color scheme is available to reduce eye strain and improve readability in low-light environments.
• Navigation: This is a single-calculator site — there is no top navigation bar and no sidebar. The footer links are wrapped in a semantic <nav> element with an accessible label.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations may exist:

• Third-party content, including advertisements served by Google AdSense, may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We do not control the accessibility of third-party ad content.
